. Speeding, drinking and driving unroadworthy vehicle not fair when using public road. The road does not belong to one person, driver, cyclists, pedestrians nor vendors. The road belongs to everyone. It is reason it is called public road. Why peo
ple are doing small businesses along public roads is to access customers easily to make ends-meet. To try to find something to eat in the evening at home. Think of the kids, family and school fees. There’s no justification whatsoever, a moving truck killing people at a place considered to be market place. Unroadworthy vehicles must not be used on public roads. It is criminal offense. If a car is not fit to be driven on public road, it must never be parked. Yes, it is to make ends meet, but it must be borne in mind that if I am driving unroadworthy vehicle, I am putting my own life and that of other road users in danger. Let us slow down and follow all traffic tips fully. Road traffic tips are meant for our own safety and other road users. Never hit anything with your car, bicycle or any moving object. Hitting a moving object while driving is a serious traffic offense. Break failure will never be considered as an excuse therefore. Real COF not fake, is a powerful traffic safety measure on public roads.

Govt should remove the market on road ! That market is done on the M1 road and not by the road side for anyone who has driven through during Kampepuzas market day will agree with me that its not easy to pass through and you sometimes shiver yourself th
at am I on the right track , haven't I hit or destroy someones merchandise? ! Its really hectic, so to hear that the truck has killed 17 people no questions can be asked! The market is at an awkward place! Govt should immediately remove the market and relocate it some meters away from the M1 road!!

Why can't we have traffic police allocated in those areas azigwira anthu omwe akugulisa munseu? Are these police only meant kumagwira ma galimoto? Someone is not doing his/her work

The government should do something. It is a great loss to the nation. The government should find out the root causes of these accidents and find the solutions. Otherwise we shall continue losing the productive citizens of the country. Today our brothers and sisters have lost their lives. Next it is either you or me. May their souls rest in peace.

Peter Beza My brother am not blaming the government but it's duty of the government to protect its citizens. For example we the traffic police, they have a role to play e.g checking whether the vehicle is roadworthy or not, some drivers have fake licences, they can also impart technical skills to our drivers on how to prevent such accidents.

So sad indeed especially at this time when heavy rains have already claimed many lives. However, the way people selling merchandise conduct themselves at Lizulu has always been a concern to many. People leave a small space foe vehicles. Even for a vehicle which is in good condition, it is always scary when one is driving through Lizulu.
