Mais ainda, Paulino manifestava-se indignado com o facto de Vicente Ramaya - condenado a 24 anos de cadeia pelo seu envolvimento na morte do jornalista Carlos Cardoso - ter sido restituído à liberdade.
Disse Paulino que “uma área que tem estado normalmente bem, a do sector prisional, a qual pode emitir sinais preocupantes, pois, de outro modo, não se compreenderia que, ao arrepio das normas, em órgãos colegiais especializados, se emitam pareceres de atestado de bom comportamento a favor de reclusos suspeitos de comandar redes criminosas com recurso a telemóveis a partir da cadeia”.
Abdul Gani diz que as declarações de Augusto Paulino são, na sua globalidade, uma clara ameaça aos advogados e uma tentativa de ingerência na Magistratura Judicial.
