Tudo indica que o encontro serviu para o presidente da Frelimo resolver o caso das “guerras” pelo poder que começam a surgir entre os eventuais candidatos.
O presidente da Frelimo, Armando Guebuza, reuniu-se ontem com os presidentes dos 41 municípios do país dirigidos pela Frelimo.
O encontro, que decorreu à porta fechada, acontece um dia após a reunião anual dos municípios e pode ter sido um momento para a Frelimo tomar posicionamentos face às eleições autárquicas de 20 de Novembro deste ano. Na verdade, a concertação entre o presidente da Frelimo e os 41 municípios sob alçada da Frelimo é, de longe, a mais necessária dadas as guerras de poder que se começam registar no maior partido do país, quando faltam apenas oito meses para as eleições autárquicas e, menos da metade desse tempo para os Comités Provinciais do partido avançarem com as propostas de candidatos às autarquias.

Um dos cenários que marcam este tempo são as “guerras” pelo poder que se registam nos principais municípios do país. O caso mais recente e gritante é do município da Matola.
Na Matola, um grupo de militantes da Frelimo tentou forçar o respectivo edil, Arão Nhancale, a renunciar ao poder sob capa de fraco desempenho. Os mesmos militantes conseguiram, igualmente, influenciar a imprensa, alegando ter sido aprovada uma moção de censura contra a governação municipal no maior município da província de Maputo.
Paradoxalmente, numa visita realizada pelo secretário-geral da Frelimo, Filipe Paúnde, o mesmo constatou que o edil da Matola cumpriu o plano quinquenal da sua governação em 80%, o que contrasta com a alegação de que o presidente do Município não tenha cumprido com o seu manifesto eleitoral.
Esta situação anómala está agitar o partido Frelimo na Matola, já que a tentativa de destituir Nhancale acontece depois da Assembleia Municipal ter aprovado o seu plano e orçamentos para este ano.
